Job Overview
The Platform Strategy team is responsible for defining and guiding Intuit’s Global Business Solutions Group’s (GBSG) mid-to-long term strategy. The team works on highly visible, direction setting initiatives and is focused on identifying and evaluating opportunities to drive growth across all aspects of the business in partnership with the senior leadership team.
As a Principal, you’ll play a critical part in guiding strategic, data-driven decision making for our highest-priority focus areas. In this role, you will be responsible for leading deep dive analyses to evaluate strategic priorities and opportunities, customer behavior, and business trends. You will guide team members and cross-functional partners to translate learnings into actionable recommendations, frame options and facilitate trade-off decisions, build roadmaps that maximize growth and ensure that the company is focused on the highest priority investments that drive value for both our small business customers and Mailchimp.
Responsibilities
Act as part of an internal consulting team that investigates and assesses the major strategic opportunities that are critical to enabling GBSG to achieve its future-facing goals and objectives
Take ownership for significant portions of strategy development, framing and structuring key problems and hypotheses that guide problem-solving and drive the appropriate research and analysis
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on core strategic questions; partner with analytics and research teams to identify and and capture the right data to conduct analyses
Understand and stay current with the competitive landscape, with a focus on emerging trends and business conditions, in support of market sizing and growth opportunity identification and evaluation
Identify option sets and evaluate trade-offs for solution areas, working with stakeholders and leadership across the business to frame roadmaps and define desired outcomes
Author and deliver high-impact presentations and plans grounded in data-driven, action-oriented insights and recommendations to senior leadership
Qualifications
8+ years of total work experience, including 4+ in a data-driven role at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or in a respected company’s strategy function (MBA preferred)
Prior work experience within a technology (software) company or knowledge of the technology/ SaaS industry
Experience owning and managing projects and relationships with senior stakeholders in an ambiguous environment and across challenging cross-functional initiatives
Comfortable with, and can guide others through, simplifying complex strategic problems with a structured approach, analyzing data from a variety of sources (quantitative and qualitative), synthesizing insights, and driving toward actionable recommendations
Superior communications (written/verbal) skills and the ability to quickly synthesize information and structure clear and concise deliverables for an executive audience
Ability to quickly grasp new concepts across a wide variety of technologies, and are able to quickly establish credibility, respect and trust to drive influence throughout the organization
Highly self-motivated, approach problem solving with a creative mindset and have a desire to deliver significant impact for both customers and the business
Bonus points if:
You have first-hand experience working with small businesses
You have deep knowledge of FMS and/or CRM tools
You have used Mailchimp and/or QuickBooks before

Bay Area California $ 204,500- 276,500
New York $ 207,500- 281,000
