Job Description:

Technology is at the heart of Disney’s past, present, and future. Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is a global organization of engineers, product developers, designers, technologists, data scientists, and more – all working to build and advance the technological backbone for Disney’s media business globally.

The team marries technology with creativity to build world-class products, enhance storytelling, and drive velocity, innovation, and scalability for our businesses. We are Storytellers and Innovators. Creators and Builders. Entertainers and Engineers. We work with every part of The Walt Disney Company’s media portfolio to advance the technological foundation and consumer media touch points serving millions of people around the world.

Here are a few reasons why we think you’d love working here:

Building the future of Disney’s media: Our Technologists are designing and building the products and platforms that will power our media, advertising, and distribution businesses for years to come.

Reach, Scale & Impact: More than ever, Disney’s technology and products serve as a signature doorway for fans' connections with the company’s brands and stories. Disney+. Hulu. ESPN. ABC. ABC News…and many more. These products and brands – and the unmatched stories, storytellers, and events they carry – matter to millions of people globally.

Innovation: We develop and implement groundbreaking products and techniques that shape industry norms, and solve complex and distinctive technical problems.

Product Management is responsible for driving the overall user experience, feature strategies and concepts, and engagement paradigms for Disney Entertainment & ESPN's global portfolio of consumer-facing streaming and digital products – including Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, ABC, ABC News, Nat Geo, Marvel, and Star Wars.

Job Summary:

Disney+ is seeking a visionary Product Manager to lead the development and optimization of Sports experiences. This is a dynamic role leading an evolving category that reimagines how fans discover, follow and engage with live sports events, studio shows, leagues, teams and tournaments on our global platform.

This role goes beyond just feature work; it’s about shaping the future of game time storytelling and sports fandom on Disney+. You’ll define the vision and roadmap for high‑impact surfaces across Disney+, ensuring they drive discovery of sports, increase engagement, and delight both entitled and non‑entitled subscribers.

As a key contributor on the Disney+ Product team, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Engineering, Data, Programming and Content teams to launch new capabilities, feature experience, and optimize for platform-specific behaviors. You’ll also explore and incubate new storytelling paradigms that push the boundaries of what’s possible in digital entertainment.

If you’re passionate about transforming how fans connect to sports, thrive in fast‑paced environments, and have a track record of building data‑informed experiences, this is your opportunity to drive innovation at the intersection of technology and global fandom.

Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:

  • Define and communicate a holistic vision for Sports on Disney+ to ensure we provide the best fan-centered experiences.

  • Create and execute the end-to-end product roadmap for Sports on Disney+ across all platforms (Web, Mobile and Living Room Devices).

  • Partner with other Product teams, Design, Engineering, Data Science, and Content teams to launch high-quality, scalable features in an agile environment.

  • Establish and evolve experience UX that align with each sport's unique storytelling potential and user expectations.

  • Leverage experimentation and A/B testing to validate hypotheses and optimize user experiences.

  • Define KPIs and success metrics that align with business objectives and user needs.

Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Product Management experience, ideally in sports, streaming, live events or direct to consumer products.

  • Proven ability to craft and communicate a compelling product vision and rally cross-functional teams around it.

  • Experience with experimentation frameworks and data-driven decision-making.

  • Strong collaboration skills in a multi-disciplinary environment with excellent communication and storytelling abilities.

  • Passion for streaming, storytelling, and creating magical user experiences.

  • Experience with scrum and software development lifecycle.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A strong passion for sports and creating fan experiences

  • Product management experience / high-level technical understanding of the Live TV streaming landscape

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
