This is Hybrid role (4 days in office /1 day remote)
About your Team:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 -3 years of combined accounting/ or audit experience (can be in small or midsized public accounting firms) and will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting month-end and year-end close processes; various management reporting; and various ad hoc responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Analyze financial data and provide insights to management
Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards
Assist in the preparation of management reports
General Accounting
Manage general ledger accounts and perform account reconciliations
Process journal entries and ensure accurate recording of transactions
Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation
Review expense reports and vendor invoices
Month-End & Year-End Close:
Lead month-end and year-end closing processes
Prepare and post-closing entries
Ensure timely completion of all closing activities
Coordinate with other family office team members to gather necessary information
Audit & Compliance:
Assist with external audits
Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation
Support tax preparation and planning activities
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes
Implement best practices and internal controls
Assist in the development and documentation of accounting procedures
Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Certification:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting:
CPA candidate or pursuing CPA certification (preferred)
Experience:
2 -3 years combination of progressive accounting and auditing experience
Experience with month-end close processes
Proficiency in general ledger accounting
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel:
Experience with accounting software (Quick Books, Archway, or similar)
Familiarity with ERP systems
