Technical Content Professional

We are looking for an experienced Technical Content Developer who independently owns end-to-end documentation for assigned products, using AI tools to speed up work while verifying accuracy.

• What you’ll do
• Plan, write, and maintain user guides, API docs, UI text, CLI references, architecture diagrams, release notes
• Own the doc plan (scope, priorities, timelines) and keep stakeholders updated
• Use approved AI tools for drafting and review, and validate output against code, builds, and SMEs
• Partner with PMs, engineers, designers, and SMEs as the product’s documentation point of contact
• Apply IBM Design Thinking for clear, accessible content
• Work in Agile/Scrum cycles and use GitHub-based, single-sourced workflows
• Review peers’ content, act as quality gatekeeper, and mentor junior writers
• Find content gaps and use data to reduce support load

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in a related field plus 7+ years of technical writing, including independent senior-level work
• DITA/XML, Markdown, or HTML, with tools like Oxygen, Git-hub based publishing system
• Experience with AI writing tools across the doc lifecycle
• Quick grasp of complex software, cloud, and APIs
• Git workflows (branching, PRs, docs-as-code)
• Proven end-to-end ownership of a doc set
• Strong communication on global, cross-functional teams
• Agile experience with JIRA or Confluence
