Data Engineer, SR - ES at Globant

We seek a Data Engineer who shares our passion for innovation and change. This role is critical to helping our business partners evolve and adapt to consumers' personalized expectations in this new technological era.

What will help you succeed:

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Big Data Engineer, Data Architect or in a similar role.

• Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java, with expertise in developing data processing frameworks like Apache Spark or Py Spark.

• Hands-on experience with Data Lake platforms and big data ecosystems such as Hadoop, Amazon S3, or Databricks.

• Expertise with ETL/ELT pipeline design and orchestration tools including Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory.

• Proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling for complex analytical workloads.

• Strong knowledge of data formats and optimization techniques like Parquet, Iceberg, or Delta Lake.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

• Full professional proficiency in English, with the ability to work effectively in a global, multicultural environment.
