Business Analyst / Product Owner MX-Monterrey-Nuevo Leon at Globant

As a Product Owner / Business Analyst, you serve as the connective tissue between product strategy and execution—ensuring that requirements are well-defined, priorities are consistently communicated, and development teams have the information and context needed to deliver value with predictability and excellence.

You will get the chance to:

Backlog Ownership & Product Readiness

• Own, manage, prioritize, and refine the product backlog to maintain clarity, readiness, and alignment with product strategy.
• Ensure 2–3 sprints of ready-state, well-defined, and estimated user stories.
• Validate story quality through strong acceptance criteria, clear definitions, and alignment with business value.

Requirements & Story Definition

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
• Convert requirements into concise, testable user stories with complete acceptance criteria.
• Act as the primary source of truth for requirement clarifications throughout the sprint.

Backlog Refinement & Sprint Preparation

• Lead backlog refinement sessions to ensure the engineering team can estimate, size, and clarify upcoming work.
• Support Sprint Planning by presenting ready-state stories, confirming priorities, and aligning on sprint objectives.
• Sprint Collaboration & Outcome Validation
• Participate in Sprint Reviews to validate delivered work against acceptance criteria and internal quality standards.
• Provide timely feedback, ensure traceability to requirements, and confirm sprint outputs align with product goals.

What will help you succeed:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role within Agile/Scrum teams, with demonstrated ability to translate business needs into clear, actionable delivery outcomes.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles, Scrum ceremonies, and SDLC practices, with the ability to ensure high-quality, audit-ready requirements and documentation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration across business, engineering, QA, UX, and leadership stakeholders.
• Ability to decompose complex business processes and requirements into well-structured user stories with measurable, testable acceptance criteria.
• Advanced proficiency with Agile lifecycle tools, including Jira (workflows, dashboards, reporting) and related collaboration platforms.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones, driving shared understanding, alignment, and efficient handoffs in a follow-the-sun model.
• Experience using AI-assisted productivity and development tools—such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft M365 Copilot, or similar AI-driven accelerators—to improve requirements clarity, accelerate documentation, enhance stakeholder communication, strengthen backlog refinement quality, and increase overall delivery velocity within Agile teams.
