Job Overview As a member of the Security and Technology Compliance team at GMI you will be responsible for executing critical monitoring, testing, follow up, and remediation procedures for the IT and Security organization. This will include governance of critical policies, compliance controls, IT audit issues, and execution of control testing where appropriate. Job Responsibilities 100% of Time
- Remediation tracking, support, and escalation for key compliance gaps identified through the Security and IT Compliance Dashboard.
- Governance of Security and IT Policies and Standard including periodic reviews, updates, and exceptions.
- Manual control testing and monitoring for key controls that are not currently automated through the Security and IT Compliance Dashboard.
- Support management and tracking of the General Mills Contingency Management Program.
- Development, implementation, and maintenance of key operational Compliance, Vendor, and Vulnerability metrics.
- Assist technology owners to design effective security controls
- Work towards formalizing and enhancing the Audit validation processes Desired Profile Education Minimum Degree Requirements: Bachelors Preferred Degree Requirements: Masters Preferred Major Area of Study: Security Infrastructure Required Professional Certifications: Preferred Professional Certifications: CISSP or CISA Experience Minimum years of related experience required: 2+ years of experience in IT compliance Preferred years of related experience: 3+ years of experience in IT compliance Specific Job Experience or Skills Needed
- Demonstrated experience in IT security, infrastructure, and audit.
- Previous IT audit participation and/or execution preferred
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or Python) would be an added advantage
- Basic knowledge around Share Point would be an added advantage
- Previous IT Risk and Controls experience
- Monitor the compliance dashboard timely and highlight any risk or gaps
- Should be able to take up work assignments and complete them in a timely manner
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Results-oriented, high energy, self-motivated Competencies/Behaviors required for job
- Self-starter with ability to drive an item from concept to full implementation with some guidance
- Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines
- Attention to detail, and the ability to manage personal tasks.
- Ability to take work direction from peers, ability to interact with customers in order to understand their needs and requirements.
