Senior Business Systems Analyst

What You Will Do:

• Lead strategic initiatives to align client expectations, user needs, and product capabilities, synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations and requirements.
• Assist with and sometimes lead the gathering of complex functional and non-functional requirements, documenting them in a clear and concise format.
• Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clear communication and alignment on requirements and that the solution aligns with business goals.
• Proactively identify, document, and prioritize complex issues impacting solution delivery, business processes or system functionality, ensuring timely resolution through collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Collaborate with the development and testing teams to clarify requirements and support defect resolution.
• Use advanced data analytics to drive insights and support strategic decision-making.
• Monitor initial system usage and performance post-deployment to help identify and triage any immediate issues or escalate issues to senior team members as needed.
• Mentor and Coach junior and entry level BSA's, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing.

What Experience You Need:

• Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of experience designing and implementing functional systems and data OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Change Management tools & methodologies
• Expert in business analysis methodologies, strategic planning, and department/enterprise analysis.
• Proficient in techniques and tools used for complex requirements gathering (JIRA, Aha!, etc.).

• High level understanding of portfolio construction processes and investment management workflows.
• Strong knowledge of financial services, investment products, and financial markets.
• Familiarity with Edward Jones Practice Teams and how they support client and branch outcomes.
• Ability to connect business needs with technology solutions in a complex financial services environment.
• Experience applying AI capabilities to streamline workflows, improve scalability, and enable associates to focus on higher value work.
• Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to continuously learn emerging technologies and industry trends.
