The Department leader role is responsible for translating strategy into execution, day to day leadership and performance of multiple teams and leaders, focused on driving execution and implementing strategies and solutions aligned to firm, division, and department priorities. The department leader leads department strategy, supports department/firm processes, and serves as a strategic leader with conceptual knowlege of department programs. Leads the department to effectively manage the strategies and initiatives. This role works with other leaders, key stakeholders, and senior leadership to obtain neccessary resources to achieve department and/or project objectives.

  • Develop and execute department objectives and monitor department performance in support of department, division, and firm objectives.
  • Lead the department through core work to inform, develop, and execute long-term client and practice transition model strategies that support the firm's core strategies and meet client and branch team needs.
  • Lead teams of professionals and leaders within the BDSO discipline whose responsibilities include, among others:
  • Executing strategies related to the domain expertise, including building institutional knowledge, skills, and abilities on inclusive leadership and fostering an inclusive environment.
  • Driving organizational mindsets and behaviors forward on matters related to the domain area, including providing proactive guidance on creating and refining BD efforts across the division and firm.
  • Integrating and applying the firm's ongoing evolution and knowledge development into training, tools, coaching, and support.
  • Build strategic relationships with division leaders, market leaders, and market strategists to translate and influence market priorities for alignment.
  • Lead department, division, and firmwide committees and projects.
  • Provide feedback, coaching, training, and guidance to help develop leaders and associates and enhance current and future contributions.
