본 직무는 DISC소속의 신발툴링엔지니어로서 하이 퍼포먼스 스포츠 신발의 미래를 만들어가게 됩니다. 최첨단 R&D센터에서 생체역학데이터, 신소재, 그리고 실제 제조 공정을 잇는 가교 역할을 합니다. AI 기반 모델링과 예측 시뮬레이션을 도입해 기존의 전통적인 툴링 패러다임을 혁신하고자 하는 미래 지향적인 엔지니어에게 최적화된 포지션입니다.

1. 3D 모델링, 첨단 프로젝트 컨셉 개발: 툴링 & 스케일링

• 디자이너 및 프로젝트 리더와 협업하여 다양한 3D 모델링을 통해 고도화된 컨셉을 구현
• 소재 연구원과 긴밀한 협력 및 최신 업계 트렌드를 반영하여, 신소재 및 성형 기술에 대한 우수 실무(Best Practice)원칙을 정립
• 프로젝트 리뷰 회의 및 테스트 결과 발표를 통해 전문적인 툴링 및 구조 관련 인사이트를 제시
• 효율적인 예산 분석을 위해 툴링 이력을 관리하고 외부 벤더와의 커뮤니케이션을 전담

2. AI 모델링 및 디지털 혁신

• AI 기반 제너레이티브 디자인(Generative Design)과 자동화 스크립팅을 적용하여 셀 구조, 격자(Lattice) 패턴, 알고리즘 기반 아웃솔 패턴을 최적화
• 차세대 소프트웨어 플러그인을 활용해 기존의 2D/3D 테크니컬 패키지를 고도화된 파라메트릭(Parametric) 3D 모델로 전환

3. 업무 협업

• 시제품 및 샘플 연구소와 협력하여 3D 프린팅 툴링 컨셉을 빠르게 개선하고 실물 시제품 테스트를 진행
• 신발 부품의 3D 스캐닝을 수행하고, 폼(Foam) 샘플 제작을 위한 Pedcad 밀링 데이터를 생성
• 해외 생산 공장 및 외부 금형 업체와 기술 데이터 패키지를 조율하여 테스트 시행 착오 최소화

** 자격요건 **

• 학사 이상 (기계공학, 디자인공학(Computational Design), 신발공학 전공 우대)
• 해당 경력 5~7년 (단, AI및 디자인 공학 관련 포트폴리오가 우수한 인원은 신입도 지원 가능)
• 신발 엔지니어링, 제품 개발, 정밀 사출 금형 툴링 경험 필수
• 3D CAD디자인(Rhino) 숙달 필수
• 제너레이티브디자인 툴(Grasshopper, AI 기반 CAD 플러그인, Python 스크립팅 등) 활용 능력
• 디지털 솔루션을 활용해 현장의 기계적 한계를 해결하려는 혁신적이고 데이터 중심적인 사고방식
• 비즈니스 수준의 영어 능력

• Reports To: Head of Footwear Development / Tooling Engineering Manager

Job Purpose

As a Footwear Tooling Engineer at DISC Busan, you will help shape the future of high-performance sports footwear. Operating out of our state-of-the-art R&D center, you will bridge the gap between biomechanical data, contemporary materials, and physical manufacturing. This role is tailored for a forward-thinking engineer who wants to challenge traditional tooling paradigms by introducing AI-driven modeling and predictive simulations.

Key Responsibilities1. 3D Modeling and Advanced Project Concept Creation; Tooling & Scaling

• Engage with designers and project leaders to express advanced concepts through 3D modeling variations.
• Evolve best practice principles for new materials and molding technology with close integration to materials engineering members and industry trends.
• Express professional tooling and construction insights during innovation project review meetings and testing result presentations.
• Incorporate and manage tooling tracking logs and external vendor communications for efficient DISC / DK budget analysis

2. AI Modeling & Digital Innovation

• Incorporate AI-driven generative design and automated scripting to optimize cell structures, lattice patterns, and algorithmic outsole textures.
• Transition traditional 2D/3D technical packages into advanced parametric 3D models using next-generation software plugins.

3. Cross-Functional Lab Collaboration

• Partner with the Prototype & Sample Lab to rapidly iterate 3D-printed tooling concepts and test physical prototypes.
• Execute 3D scanning of footwear component parts and generate Pedcad milling of foam trial parts.
• Coordinate technical data packages with overseas production facilities and external mold shops to minimize testing loops.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 5–7 years of experience in footwear engineering, product development, or precision injection-mold tooling (exceptional fresh graduates with strong AI/computational design portfolios will be considered).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Design, or Footwear Technology.
• Software Proficiency: Mastery of 3D CAD design tools (Rhino) along with a strong foundation in computational or generative design tools (e.g., Grasshopper, AI-driven CAD plugins, Python scripting).
• Mindset: An innovative, data-driven approach to solving mechanical limitations on the factory floor using digital alternatives.

Language Requirements

• Language: Professional fluency in Korean and a working proficiency in English to navigate global technical standards and cross-border communications.
