About the role

Outside Sales Specialist – Unstructured Data Solutions & Data Platform | Zurich, Switzerland This isn't a typical sales role. And we're not looking for a typical candidate.

You don't wait for opportunities — you create them. As an Outside Sales Product Specialist, you combine market knowledge, customer relationships, and solution expertise to grow Dell's business across Switzerland. You know your portfolio well enough to lead strategic conversations at the highest levels, and you know exactly when to bring in your Pre Sales team to go deeper. Your territory includes some of the most exciting opportunities in the market right now — AI-driven data infrastructure is not a future trend, it's today's boardroom conversation. And you're the person who owns that conversation.

What you'll be doing

You'll own two motions — and you'll love both of them.

  • Trusted advisor to an established, market-leading installed base. These customers know Dell. Your job is to deepen that relationship and grow it.
  • Driver of our AI Data Platform business — a high-growth opportunity where you're not selling a point product, you're delivering real business outcomes. Think less "speeds and feeds," more "here's how your AI initiative actually succeeds."

A day in your life

  • You challenge a C-suite leader's assumptions about their data infrastructure — with evidence, not slides
  • You bring together the right people — Pre Sales, specialists, commercial teams — into one coherent response that moves the customer forward
  • You have a meaningful conversation with a data scientist about what their AI initiative actually needs — and you know exactly when to bring in deeper expertise
  • You close. Because pipeline without conversion is just a hobby.

What you bring

We're not looking for someone who checks every box — we're looking for someone with the right foundation and the curiosity to grow. If you recognise yourself in most of this, we want to hear from you:

  • Experience in complex technology sales — data, storage, AI infrastructure, or adjacent fields. The specific domain matters less than your ability to understand it quickly and connect it to what customers actually need
  • The ability to translate technical complexity into business value — whether you're in a boardroom or in a working session with a technical team, you make the conversation meaningful
  • A natural ability to bring people together — you coordinate, align, and move teams forward without needing formal authority to do so
  • Fluent French (must-have), strong English (standard in the field), German is a welcome bonus
  • The instinct to create new opportunities while nurturing the ones already in front of you — you know when to open a new door and when to deepen an existing relationship
  • Around 8 years of experience in solution or consultative selling — though what you've achieved and how you've grown matters more to us than the number itself
