About the role

Key Target:

Ensure maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality of finished products with special focus on Tire Uniformity, Imbalance and Geometry.

Main Tasks:1. TU, TG and DB data base maintenance

  • Ensure correct uniformity, balance and geometry limits are used during testing according to QM Central and OEM requirements.
  • Ensure control tires are produced, tested, analyzed and actions are taken as necessary.
  • Assure appropriate frequency and quality of vector separation (de-coupling) and optimization.

2. Tyre uniformity and balance Improvement

  • Assure that routine uniformity technician audits are performed at the required frequency and appropriate actions are taken.
  • Direct yield improvement activities by monitoring daily TU/DB yields and trends.
  • Initiate trouble shoot actions in case of major uniformity issues. Oversee corrective actions.
  • Lead activities regarding customer satisfaction with regards to tire uniformity complaints.

3.Quality Management

  • Assure compliance to ISO/TS 16949, legal, customer and internal requirements as required in his / her area.
  • Ensure policies and procedures are followed concerning uniformity.
  • Responsible for local plant TU/G and DB testing specifications.

4.Reliability of test results

  • Introduce process control measures through introduction of repeatability testing and statistical control techniques to ensure test result accuracy .
  • Steer biennial Central QM cross check exercise (preparation, test activities, corrective actions).

5.Management of team

  • Train, educate and develop his / her staff.
  • Coaching on problems solving
  • Attendance maintenance and leave management.

6.Problems solving and trouble shotting

  • Continuous analysis on Rework ,Work Together with Visual Task force team to do the Trouble shotting.
  • Involve in Problem Structure Solving activity related to customer complaint due to tire appearance & TU defects.
  • Coordinate and drive team member to the correct direction to reduce rework by executing and follow up action plan from all each related person in respective area.
  • Provide ideas about process improvement to BT concerning the main defects trend for all OE articles, Especially critical Art.

7.QM Training related

  • Orientation training (QM part for new team members as the company internal trainer).
  • QM employee training & external department new employee training on TU.

8.New Introduction support -ETO

  • Support PI team to ETO/ISD analysis the results regarding tire rework and TU virgin yield.
  • Support to ETO/ ISD for further improvement solutions.

9.Finacial impact

  • In case of OEM production, monitor slow mover status and take the necessary actions to improve TU Virgin yields for tire sizes affected.

10.ESH

  • Ensure implementation of measures and maintain controls.
  • Raise awareness and provide information about ESH responsibilities and duties.
  • Ensure immediate notification and response, and initiate preventive measures in case of unsafe or polluting hazards.
  • Demonstrate exemplary personal behavior in ESH and motivate others.

Education / Certification:

Minimum Bachelor (or higher) Degree in an Engineering or Scientific field

Professional Experience:

Min. 5 years experience within tire manufacturing

Project Experience:

2-3 Years in Quality management ,Better with focus on tyre uniformity

Leadership Experience:

Experience in leading a team is preferred
