About the role

As a Senior IT Consultant – Collaboration & Infrastructure Applications, you take full ownership of a broad range of collaboration and infrastructure services within the Microsoft 365 ecosystem as well as internally developed and off‑the‑shelf infrastructure tools. You ensure that all services operate in a stable, secure, efficient, and cost-conscious manner while shaping their long-term strategic development. In this senior role, you work closely with business stakeholders, internal IT teams, and external partners to define, evolve, and modernize the collaboration landscape, contributing significantly to our transformation journey by driving automation, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • End-to-end strategic service ownership for M365 collaboration applications and other infrastructure-related collaboration applications.
  • Lead optimization, standardization and harmonization projects within the M365 ecoverse and the Infrastructure application portfolio
  • Ensure highly stable, secure, efficient, and compliant operation of all assigned services with a focus on continuous optimization.
  • Provide senior-level input to solution designs and influence architectural decisions in alignment with enterprise architecture standards.
  • Identify, drive, and lead initiatives around automation, standardization, modernization, and cost efficiency across the collaboration landscape.
  • Steer, challenge, and coordinate external service providers across L1, L2, and partially L3 operations, ensuring SLA compliance, performance transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage complex incidents, problems, and changes, ensuring service continuity and professional, complete documentation.
  • Act as a senior trusted advisor to business stakeholders, translating business needs into scalable solution designs and guiding implementation of collaboration and workflow solutions.
  • Drive adoption of collaboration tools, promote modern digital workplaces, and support organizational change.
  • Ensure adherence to governance, security, compliance, documentation, and lifecycle standards across all services.
  • Evaluate new M365 features and market trends, assess their strategic relevance, and steer their introduction into the environment.
  • Deep expertise in M365 collaboration services, especially Share Point Online, Teams, Office Apps, Power Apps, and Power Automate, ideally in an enterprise environment.
  • Extensive experience with cloud service management, workflow automation, low-code/no-code platforms, and operational excellence.
  • Proven track record of successfully lead projects from definition to execution
  • Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and service governance, with a proven track record of service ownership or comparable responsibilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to steer, challenge, and manage external service providers across all operational levels (L1–L3).
  • Strong architectural understanding of M365 integrations, workflows, automation patterns, and governance frameworks.
  • Ability to translate complex business requirements into robust technical concepts, solution designs, and strategic service improvements.
  • Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder-management skills, including interaction with senior business partners.
  • Analytical and strategic mindset with focus on efficiency, stability, automation, cost optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Experience with standardization of custom-built or internally developed applications is beneficial.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent senior-level professional experience.
