About the role

Shift: 1:30 PM-10:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $35.00 an hour + $$1.50 shift differential

Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, you will support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing and packaging equipment by performing maintenance activities that minimize downtime and support production goals at the Hagerstown facility. This is an onsite, hourly role working a four‑day schedule of ten‑hour shifts.

A Taste of Your Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair extruders, forming equipment, frying systems, and associated process equipment
  • Maintain and repair wire belts, conveyors, and high‑volume material handling systems throughout the facility
  • Support packaging operations including primary and secondary packaging equipment, pouching machines, and packaging lines with extensive conveyor systems
  • Troubleshoot equipment utilizing servos, timing systems, sensors, and automated motion controls
  • Support equipment with increasing levels of automation, including robotics and integrated systems
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems supporting production and packaging operations
  • Respond to equipment failures to restore safe and efficient operation while minimizing downtime
  • Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and required documentation accurately
  • Follow all safety, food safety, and quality standards while working in the manufacturing environment
  • Partner with the maintenance team and production teams to support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, modifications, and rebuilds as needed
  • Work a four‑day, ten‑hour schedule on either a Sunday through Wednesday rotation or a Wednesday through Saturday rotation

Ingredients Required for Your Success

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Experience maintaining and troubleshooting automated manufacturing and packaging equipment
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial controls
  • Experience working with conveyors, servo‑driven equipment, timing systems, and automated packaging lines
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and work instructions
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
  • Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality standards

Physical Requirements

More information on the essential tasks and facility will be shared during the hiring process. Please be aware that in a manufacturing environment, the noise levels can be high and the temperatures may vary. Depending on the role, physical and environmental requirements can differ but include:

  • Being on your feet, walking around the facility, climbing stairs/ladders or kneeling for extended periods of time.
  • Performing consistent repetitive tasks.
  • Frequently lifting, pushing or carrying materials.
