About Global Payment:

The Global Payment team of Byte Dance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on Byte Dance platforms including Tik Tok.

The Payment Network PI team is part of the Global Payment Network organization. We focus on supporting binding payment instruments via diverse payment channels and managing the instruments lifecycle. Our mission is to ensure high-quality and reliable payment instruments through robust system design and multi-layered safeguards, enabling users to enjoy a smooth and secure payment experience on Byte Dance platforms such as Tik Tok.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable backend systems and architectures;
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code; review and debug code to maintain overall system quality;
• Identify, prioritize, and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery;
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze and break down complex business requirements into clear, actionable tasks;
• Continuously research, evaluate, and adopt emerging technologies to enhance system performance and maintain technical excellence.

Requirements:

• Minimum Qualification(s)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience;

• Software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages, such as Java/Go/C++/C#/Python;

• Proven experience in backend development and distributed systems architecture;

• Solid understanding of relational databases and backend infrastructure;

• Strong analytical thinking and exceptional attention to details;

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex ideas and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Preferred Qualification(s)

• Minimum 2 years relevant work experience from a large-scale internet business;

• Experience in payment systems or financial transaction processing is a plus.
