About the role
The Datacenter Infrastructure Engineering team supports the company's fast growth by building and operating hyperscale datacenters. The team manages the end to end lifecycle of server fleet, providing cloud solutions and various infrastructure services ensuring that they are scalable and are reliable.
Responsibilities:
- Manage server fleet support within a ticketing system, including power cycling, troubleshooting, and replacing failed components.
- Act as the first point of contact for break-fix technicians, prioritize ticketing queues, and resolve escalated issues.
- Perform physical installation, movement, and decommissioning of equipment; support datacenter projects such as capacity expansions and retrofits.
- Assist with inventory and asset tracking, while collaborating with Physical Security and EHS teams to maintain site safety and compliance.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners to ensure operational efficiency.
- This position is part of a team that provides 24/7 support and requires working scheduled shifts, which may include holidays
- Demonstrate a strong desire to learn and develop new skills to adapt to evolving technologies and business needs.
Requirements:
- Minimum Qualifications
- College/Technician Degree or equivalent professional experience/certification in Engineering.
- Knowledge of Linux and server hardware repairs.
- Working knowledge of technologies such as HTTP, DNS, RAID, and DHCP.
- At least three years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
