At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows an onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office at least four days per week.
Relocation and housing assistance may be available to those who meet the eligibility criteria. Employees are responsible for their own daily transportation to work.

About the role:
Our R&D engineers are tasked with designing and developing implant products for the Active Implantable Systems (AIS) group. This includes technologies that monitor, support diagnosis and treat irregular heart rhythms, heart failure, and sudden cardiac arrest. AIS provides devices and therapies for a patient’s entire continuum of care, from diagnostic to treatment. This division strives to innovate and create a paradigm shift that can solve unmet clinical needs and change what is possible for patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
Use your problem-solving abilities to perform meaningful engineering work.
Have opportunities to expand your professional network.
Grow your skillset through a combination of training, hands-on experience, and mentorship.
Collaborate with a cross-functional team.
- Designing, fabricating, and testing prototype devices to address clinical feedback.
Analyzing large clinical databases to inform device design and procedural technique.
Viewing live and recorded clinical procedures and developing test methods to replicate use.
Required Qualifications:
- Must be a rising junior or rising senior (grad dates between Dec 2026 - June 2028), graduating senior (May/June 2026 grad) continuing on to grad school, or current grad student
- Currently majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- Must be able to commit to program dates May 18th - August 7th or May 26th – August 14th, 2026
- Has or is willing to organize reliable transportation to the work site

The anticipated compensation listed above and the value of core and optional employee benefits offered by Boston Scientific (BSC) – see www.bscbenefitsconnect.com—will vary based on actual location of the position and other pertinent factors considered in determining actual compensation for the role. Compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, among other relevant business or organizational needs. At BSC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the anticipated salary range listed above.
Compensation for non-exempt (hourly), non-sales roles may also include variable compensation from time to time (e.g., any overtime and shift differential) and annual bonus target (subject to plan eligibility and other requirements).
