This role is at Spirit Aero Systems, Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, supporting Spirit's Commercial Business Units ("Spirit Commercial"). Spirit Commercial designs and builds commercial aerostructures, including for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, one of Boeing's three business units and the premier manufacturer of commercial jetliners for decades. Spirit Commercial's core products include fuselages, pylons, nacelles and wing components, with a focus on innovative composite and aluminum manufacturing solutions.
The Senior Business Operations Manager will lead the Tulsa Business Operations team and sit on the overall site leadership team. In addition to managing a high impact team, the role will help drive execution of the site performance by focusing on key areas such as: management system, capital, work movement, project management, metrics, rate, and additional inputs required to support the site.

Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing business management activities in the function of Business Operations.
- Develops and executes integrated cross-functional plans, policies and procedures and provides input on functional business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.
- Acquires resources for Business Operations function and site initiatives activities and leads process improvements.
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches and processes.
- Provides guidance and direction to team on the management system integration, statement of work management, rate planning, strategy planning and site communication.
- Partner with Tulsa leadership to position and run the business. Maintain a management system that provides clear visibility to the organization's production health and rate readiness.
- Oversee a portfolio management system for business improvement projects and statement of work authorization and transfers. Partner with Finance to drive clear visibility around business planning, forecasting cycles and capital expenditures.
- Leads transformation efforts to strengthen the linkage between statement of work (SOW), affordability projects and the business plan.
- Fosters a culture of business leadership, driving project management discipline, strategic thinking, standard work and a sense of urgency to meet organizational commitments.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the Tulsa location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 5+ year's management experience, leading cross functional teams
- Experience with Program Management Best Practices (ex: risk, financial and schedule management)
- Experience leading transformation initiatives / programs
- Must be legally able to work in the United States
- Individual must not pose a risk for safe guarding of controlled goods
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
- HS Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- Bachelor degree or higher in Business field is preferable
- Experience with Project Management
- Experience executing strategies that support business needs and drive employee engagement
- Knowledge of business plan and policy development

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $125,000 - $170,000

To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
