We’re seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to support the global Head of Commercial for Asset Servicing. This role is in London.
Asset Servicing is BNY’s largest business globally and a core part of the financial infrastructure of the firm. It is central to how BNY supports global capital markets and institutional investing and is built around servicing and enabling the movement, administration and oversight of client assets at scale. Asset Servicing is a multi-platform organization that provides large institutional clients with an array of services including custody and safekeeping, fund administration and accounting, transfer agency and sub-accounting, financial reporting, portfolio performance and analytics and outsourcing solutions.
The Head of Commercial oversees all sales, client management and client service teams globally including 10 Managing Director direct reports and responsibility for the full client P&L, organizational and commercial strategy, sales enablement, deal management, franchise growth, client health and satisfaction. This is the most senior client role in Asset Servicing with direct engagement across BNY’s Executive Committee, including our CEO. Similarly, the Head of Commercial will have regular interactions with the C-Suite of our client organizations.
The Executive Assistant will be responsible for independently completing a full range of advanced administrative and project activities, in support of the Head of Commercial. The successful candidate will be a critical, strategic partner and must possess exceptional enthusiasm, initiative, a thirst for learning, thrive in dynamic environments, embrace change and enable a client-centric leadership philosophy.
In this role, the Executive Assistant will make an impact in the following ways:
- Owns the diary, arranges meetings and provides general calendar maintenance. Effectively collaborates with other Executive Assistants and builds strong stakeholder relationships. Over time, helping their manager optimize their time against key priorities.
- Serves as the primary Travel Arranger and manages T&E expenses timely working in compliance with BNY policy and procedures. Preferred candidates will have experience supporting significant international travel and drafting detailed itineraries as requested.
- Maintains some latitude to adjust daily work routines as needed. Exercises autonomy in anticipating and troubleshooting a range of issues as they arise. May prepare team/internal meeting agendas and track action items.
- Assists with staff onboarding and offboarding, as requested, including requesting equipment, set-up, and access in partnership with the People and Workplace Excellence teams.
- Priority is on daily/weekly work but may be responsible for executing ad-hoc special work/projects as requested (ie, briefing memos, management reporting, event planning, facilities, invoices).
- Must be comfortable operating in a dynamic, high-impact environment with flexibility and discretion.
- Has intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS applications (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Share Point). Preferred candidates will have experience with Oracle, PowerBI, and Dynamics. Will be expected to adopt a fast-track learning of BNY artificial intelligence and LLM applications to enable automation in their daily work.
