About the Role:

Our team is responsible for ensuring adherence to ethical and compliance standards across the organization. As Global Investigator you will perform compliance investigations into potential violations of internal procedures, support the maintenance of our investigations program and ensure BioNTech’s adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements globally. Your expertise will guide us in navigating complex investigative landscapes with precision and integrity.

Your Contribution:

  • Perform internal compliance investigations into allegations of harassment, discrimination, fraud, corruption, and any other kind of potential and actual misconduct
  • Thorough and precise documentation of investigation procedures in English and German alongside reporting to the Senior Director Global Investigations to minimize risks and strengthen the compliance culture
  • Further develop and oversee BioNTech’s global investigations process, including the update of policies, procedures, investigation templates and effective strategies
  • Maintenance and further development of the whistleblower system, including ensuring confidentiality and professional case handling
  • Ensure BioNTech’s compliance with global ethical standards and regulatory requirements concerning the protection of reporting persons
  • Organize and deliver investigations and Speak-Up Awareness training and awareness campaigns with global impact
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and interface areas such to uphold compliance and ethical standards and facilitate the performance of compliance investigations
  • Manage external service providers, such as management consultancies (Big 4) and law firms, for the structured processing of compliance investigations, when necessary

A Good Match:

  • Completed studies in economics, law, or a related/comparable field with a focus on compliance and/or internal investigations
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in leading and conducting internal compliance investigations, ideally in an international environment
  • Customer-oriented mindset with a strong service mentality alongside integrity, and independence
  • Discretion and team spirit for trustworthy collaboration and the protection of all parties involved
  • Strategic and analytical thinking to derive sustainable actions and evaluate complex issues
  • Fluency in English and German; additional languages (e.g., Chinese) are a plus
