In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.

This role is contributing to the ELDS NAM in Mebane, NC. Main stakeholders are MV SWGR cross functional teams and local Continuous Improvement team.

The work model for the role is: Onsite, Mebane, NC #Li-Onsite

Your role and responsibilities:

• Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implements improvement projects, ensuring adherence to timeframe, quality, and cost requirements.

• Approving the design for processes developed internally or externally and performing final tests with respect to the project.

• Providing support to Production during the internal/external process/equipment start-up, defining action plans and training relevant maintenance and production resources.

• Evaluating new process technologies to improve productivity, quality, and cost reduction, defining and leading testing activities, approval criteria, and external provider choices.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering field such as, Industrial, mechanical, manufacturing or related engineering degree.

• Must be highly skilled in process definition, process standardization, and problem solving and process improvement for the MV SWGR product.

• 3 years of experience in process engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrialization and/or continuous continuous improvement.

• Highly adept in Autocad, Solid works, or modeling tools.

• Has prior Change management and influencing skills to drive cultural change.

• You are at ease communicating in English.

• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
