Your role and responsibilities

Within our Motion Drive Products (MODP) division, we are looking for a Solution Owner to own and drive global Manufacturing & Digital supply chain landscape, covering SAP Digital Manufacturing (SAP DM/MES), and future connected functions enabling integrated factory and supply chain operations.

In this role, you will be accountable for end‑to‑end platform/solution ownership — ensuring stability, reliability, performance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing, and logistics execution processes used in MODP and MOHP, Drives sites. This is a high‑impact role shaping digital manufacturing and logistics capabilities.

The position will be located in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, Finland.

This role is contributing to the Motion Drive Products (MODP) & Motion High Power, Drives (MOHP) globally with main stakeholders in operations teams, IS and application teams.

The work model for the role is: hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

Platform Ownership & Governance:

  • Own the global lifecycle, roadmap, and governance of SAP DM (MES) and related supply chain and logistics execution platforms

  • Act as the single accountable owner in global MES and supply chain governance forums

  • Ensure compliance with ABB IT, cybersecurity, integration, and data standards

  • Align MODP/MOHP architecture with Motion-wide standards in collaboration with architects and application managers

Technical & Operational Leadership:

  • Ensure stable and resilient operations across all MODP and MOHP manufacturing sites

  • Drive end-to-end integration reliability with SAP ECC/S4, shopfloor, OT/IoT, edge, and cloud platforms

  • Lead regular reviews of risk management, disaster recovery, and business continuity with IT teams, application managers, and service providers

Service Management & Vendor Oversight:

  • Define, monitor, and optimize SLAs, KPIs, and operational performance

  • Manage global AMS vendors, SAP partners, and support teams

  • Provide escalation support for critical production incidents

  • Ensure supplier quality, consistency, and alignment with ABB Motion standards

  • Coordinate incident management, issue resolution, and continuous improvement with external partners

Deployment, Adoption & Continuous Improvement

  • Ensure operational readiness for new site deployments.

  • Own Change, Release, and Deployment Management, including risk assessment, CAB participation, release planning, cutover, and post‑implementation reviews.

  • Capture operational insights to continuously improve system reliability and business outcomes.

Qualifications for the role

  • Extensive experience with MES platforms, preferably SAP, and manufacturing operations

  • Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA, with a focus on manufacturing and digital supply chain capabilities

  • Demonstrated history of managing global enterprise applications, integrations, and cloud/edge architectures

  • Experience leading AMS models, and multi‑site operations

  • Ability to manage mission‑critical, high‑availability systems in complex manufacturing environments

  • Fluent communication skills with various stakeholders and multinational teams

  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial IT, or similar discipline
