Position Reports To: Senior Engineering Manager

Work Model: Onsite

Location: Xiamen, China

Team: EL-ELDS-DSGCIP: Indoor Products (IDP)

Main Stakeholders: ELDS

Your Role and Responsibilities

You will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design.

Product Strategy Execution

  • Working with PM/PS to support LPL deploy the product strategy
  • Support PM/PS to monitor & optimize the product strategy implementation from technical perspective

Product Launch Support

  • Working with PM/PS to realize technology to production and relevant in G5
  • Working with PM/PS to assist sales and marketing teams in the launch and selling of new offering, focus on technology and solution in details

Product Maintenance and Improvement

  • Proposes new offering development or offering enhancements in order to offer suitable and unique solutions to customer needs
  • Collaborate with R&D and PM to develop new offering solution according to product roadmap, responsible for DTO/order-relatived R&D from factory side
  • Supports cost saving, quality improvement, CCRP, and other OPEX activities
  • Product maintenance and upgrade according to product strategy and leading TC T2P decision
  • Contributes to the definition of new offering technical characteristics by providing specific expertise

Customer Focus

  • Collaborates with ABB internal teams (i.e. Quality, Engineering, TC and Supply Chain) to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Assists with resolution of customer offering issues and may accompany internal partners to customer sites
  • Support on technical support platform and configuration tools with process excellent purpose, ensure engineering, TS quality and efficiency to satisfy customer

Training

  • Support on new offering training to internal teams and customers
  • Regular training and sharing for FAQ and typical technical topic

Qualifications for the Role

  • Bachelor degree with major electrics or mechanics
  • Have experience in product areas
  • With good knowledge and skills in MV products or switchgears
  • With good knowledge of electrics and mechanics
  • Good communication and coordination skills both internal and external
  • Skillful in problem solving by using statistical techniques
  • Prefer to familiar with grid components
  • Good English skill in speaking, reading and writing
  • Good collaboration with other functions and team work
  • High responsibility and ownership

岗位要求

  1. 电气/机械工程相关专业本科及以上学历
  2. 熟悉设计软件Solid Works, CAD, Eplan
  3. 有较强的学习能力、沟通能力和抗压能力,认真细致,富有责任心及主人翁意识
  4. 能熟练使用电脑办公软件,英语口语流利
