This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we've announced the plan for Soft Bank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. Soft Bank is a globally recognized technology group and investor/operator focused on AI, robotics, and next-generation computing. By joining us now, you'll be part of a pioneering team shaping the future of robotics—working alongside world-class experts in a fast-moving, innovation-driven environment.

Reports to: R&D Team Lead

Work model: Onsite

Responsibilities

• Participate in the research and development of industrial robots, focusing on the requirement definition and structural design of key components such as motors and gearboxes
• Proficiently use CAD tools to create production drawings, communicate with component manufacturers, and participate in product assembly in-house
• Be familiar with the principles of industrial measurement and participate in product characteristic measurement and lifespan testing
• Provide technical support for various productization-related tasks

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Design or Robotics Technology
• Proficient in Solid Works design software
• Strong learning ability, communication skills, and resilience to work under pressure
• Skilled in using computer office software and fluent in spoken English
