In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the assigned Sales organization and customers during the proposal process. Each day, you will serve as a key technical resource in the assigned area. You will also showcase your technical skills by preparing technical descriptions of the products and technology, determining costs, and preparing final documentation.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
In this role, you will ensure commercial excellence and apply consistent commercial discipline across AEI Asia. You will support the Sales organization throughout the tendering, proposal, and contracting stages and play a central role in commercial reviews, contract negotiations, and risk mitigation activities.

This role is contributing to the Automation Energy Industries (AEI) division in Asia, working closely with key stakeholders across Sales, Legal, Finance, Trade/Export Compliance, and Insurance.
You will be mainly accountable for:

Performing commercial risk and financial impact analysis, including margin, cash flow, liabilities, liquidated damages (LDs), securities, and payment terms, and implementing mitigation actions.

Managing commercial review and negotiation support for customer terms and conditions (tenders, proposals, project contracts).

Owning the customer and supplier NDA process, including templates, redlining, approvals, and tracking.

Supporting subcontracting commercial terms and ensuring proper flow‑down of customer obligations.

Coordinating internal stakeholders to close open commercial risks before contract signature.

Improving and standardizing commercial ways of working (templates, playbooks, KPIs, trainings, handover to execution).

Acting as the key liaison between the Customer, Sales, and specialist functions (Legal, Insurance, Trade/Export Compliance).
Qualifications for the Role

Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Law, or similar discipline.

8+ years of experience in commercial operations, contract management, bid/proposal management, or project commercial management in a project/solutions business.

Solid knowledge of contract terms, risk allocation, and deal economics, with the ability to support negotiations under tight bid timelines.

Demonstrated ability to persuade and align stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.

Clear and effective communication skills in English; regional Asian language skills.

High proficiency in commercial and contractual tools/methodologies and familiarity with regional compliance (Insurance, Export/Trade, etc.).
