About the Role
This Position reports to: Team Leader
We are looking for an automation engineer for projects in the mining industry and mineral processing. Our work focuses on increasing industrial productivity, reducing emissions, and supporting sustainability. We collaborate with international ABB teams on some of the largest projects today. Our projects are implemented worldwide – from Sweden, Germany, and Romania to more exotic destinations such as Oman, Guinea, Indonesia, and Chile. Key areas include cement plants, iron, and copper processing.
Work Model: Hybrid
Job Responsibilities
- Programming automation systems, primarily in mining and mineral processing (iron ore, copper, cement, etc.)
- Commissioning production plants worldwide
- Active collaboration within international project teams
- Preparing technical documentation in line with ABB and end-customer requirements
Required Qualifications
- Experience in automation and PLC programming
- Communicative level of English (collaboration with international customers and teams)
- Experience with commissioning
- Education in electrical engineering (minimum secondary school, NV 194/2022 Sb.)
- Willingness to travel
- Independence and motivation to work in an international team
Advantageous Qualifications
- Knowledge of ABB 800xA system
- Experience in mining or mineral processing industries
