Position Overview

This position reports to: Service Team Leader

You will be working as a Field Service Engineer and will be part of Motion Business for Service division, based in Vadodra, Gujarat, India.

Your Role and Responsibilities

• Working as Field Service Engineer responsible for executing service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines
• Delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers
• In close cooperation with customer and other ABB teams, taking actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB

Key Accountabilities

• Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation
• Clear understanding of sense of urgency and care in the direct area of responsibility
• Performing entry level field service tasks, identifying technical problems and making analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which you are certified to perform
• Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for service activities
• Preparing all documents and customer reports to be signed by the customer representative and utilizing all relevant tools
• Troubleshooting simple equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future
• Proactively executing work on a first-time right approach with customers, and ensuring the job is done on time and on quality

Qualifications

• Degree in Diploma or B-Tech/BE - Electrical or Electronics or in similar discipline
• Service Engineer Experience is Must
• LV/MV Drive knowledge is required
• Installation and Commissioning and troubleshooting experience is must
• Open to travel to Pan India
• Good to have: PLC Programming knowledge
