Position Overview

Division: Process Automation Energy Business
This role serves as an ABB Excitation commissioning engineer with low to medium complexity responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure completion of all commissioning activities efficiently and cost-effectively, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Contribute to planning and implementation of commissioning activities
- Support and coordinate installation/commissioning activities with the Installation Supervisor/Site Manager
- Participate in internal project review meetings and provide inputs on commissioning activities
- Coordinate site activities focused on finalizing customer acceptance certification
- Identify and recommend new effective solutions to meet business and customer needs
- Provide relevant information pertaining to commissioning assignments and meetings with customers
- Give feedback to the organization to apply lessons learned process
- Support continuous improvement of project process/product/system design
Qualifications
Required:
- Degree in Engineering related disciplines
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in Excitation & Electrical Systems
- Knowledge in ABB Excitation (UNITROL) & ABB Electrical Systems
- Good understanding of Excitation Systems, MV & LV Switchgears, Transformers & Protection Relays
- Experience in Maintenance/Testing & Commissioning/FAT/SAT in Excitation & Electrical Systems
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in English
Preferred:
- Working experience in Oil, Gas & Chemical plant/Offshore/Power & Water Industries
- Certification on ABB excitation system commissioning
