Network Engineer

Dear hiring team,
I understand that the central requirement for this Network Engineer role is designing and operating routing, switching, connectivity, segmentation, capacity, and recovery with observable network evidence. I am interested in network engineering because dependable connectivity comes from understanding paths and failure modes before an incident.
As Senior network engineer, I held both execution and review responsibility. I designed BGP policy standards for hybrid enterprise and cloud interconnects, defining peer classes, accepted prefixes, communities, and maximum-prefix actions. I required a route-leak test and named rollback owner before approving a new peering pattern.
Within that same senior scope, I also owned the following work. I led network design reviews for EVPN-VXLAN fabrics, separating underlay reachability from tenant overlays and documenting failure domains. I challenged shared uplink and control-plane dependencies before accepting the proposed redundancy design.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the decisions and delivery I owned, and how I could apply that experience in this role.
Sincerely,
J. Lee
