Dear hiring team,
I understand that the central requirement for this Network Engineer role is designing and operating routing, switching, connectivity, segmentation, capacity, and recovery with observable network evidence. I am interested in network engineering because dependable connectivity comes from understanding paths and failure modes before an incident.
I completed this work in a simulated transition project for Network Engineer. I supported employee connectivity incidents from the service desk, collecting TCP/IP configuration, DHCP lease details, and DNS responses before escalating suspected network faults. I kept endpoint, identity, and routing symptoms separate in the ticket.
Within that same simulation, I limit my claim to the work I performed. I coordinated office moves with network and facilities teams. I validated desk-to-port assignments and requested VLANs, checked user connectivity after the approved cutover, and returned unresolved paths to the network owner with test results.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the decisions and delivery I owned, and how I could apply that experience in this role.
Sincerely,
J. Lee
