About the team:

The SMT process engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting PCBA processes and equipment, such as SMT, AOI, X-rays, Underfill, Conformal coating, and depanelization, among others. As part of the engineering team, they will plan, schedule, carry out, and coordinate the detailed phases of engineering work, and also provide root cause analysis and process troubleshooting for SMT/Mid Line. They will also be part of the continuous improvement process for SMT/Mid Line KPIs.

What you can look forward to as Senior Process Engineer:

• Responsible for activities related to the development and support of SMT-Mid Line processes, including quality and capability analysis and improvement.Perform root cause analysis, process capability studies, and implement process controls to ensure that process performance requirements are met and maintained.

• Develop performance requirements for equipment, materials, and processes, conduct supplier searches, and evaluate equipment to ensure adequate capability to produce quality products in the required quantities at an effective cost.

• Provide technical support for new product launches, including establishing process recipes, acquiring tools, and conducting Design for Manufacturing reviews that identify improvements for manufacturing capability.

• Lead the development of new technologies with an emphasis on continuous improvement and benchmarking.

• Apply verbal and written communication skills in periodic and special reports/presentations both internally and with clients.

• Timely completion of assigned projects.

Your Profile as Senior Process Engineer:

• Required bachelor's degree in engineering; Preferably Industrial, Electrical, or Manufacturing with at least 5 years of experience in PCBA processes.

• Experience in implementation and technical support of PCBA assembly processes and equipment for SMT and Thru-Hole technologies. Experience in PANASONIC NPM technology is required.

• Team leadership skills, project management skills, and the ability to communicate and influence others.

• Experience in the use of problem-solving and decision-making tools.

• Experience in the evaluation and selection of process materials and equipment, i.e., fluxes, coatings, adhesives, solders, and sealants, SMT benchmarking equipment.

• Experience with PFMEA support, control plans, and APQP process.

• Hands-on experience in root cause analysis for SMT and mid-line processes.

• Minimum English proficiency of 80%.
