About the Team

The Federal Workforce team at Workday develops pioneering software empowering federal agencies to manage human resources effectively. We are passionate about streamlining HR processes and improving the federal employee experience. We thrive in a collaborative, Agile environment, embracing innovation and continuous improvement. In this team, you'll work alongside key architects, product managers, and federal government partners to deliver high-quality solutions tailored to the unique needs of the federal sector. About the Role

This role will support one or more direct or indirect contracts with the U.S. Federal Government which, due to federal government security requirements, mandates that all Workday personnel working on the contracts be United States citizens (naturalized or native). Workday is proud of its diverse workforce, but regrets that it is currently unable to sponsor employment visas or consider individuals on time-limited visa status for this position.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• 8+ years experience with Web application development or SaaS (Software as a Service)
• OO design and development experience in an object oriented language such as Java, C#, etc
• Experience designing/developing business applications, (knowledge of Recruiting systems, Talent Management systems, or Learning platforms is a plus)
• Validated working knowledge of design and analysis of software for performance
• Metadata-driven definitional development experience
• Experience with JSON, XML, and Integration technologies
• US Citizen

Other Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability in Algorithmic Thinking and experience with API Development
• Understanding of Code Testing methodologies
• Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Design (OOD) principles like inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, and abstraction
• Solid understanding of Software Development principles
• Basic experience with Source Control Management (SCM) tools
• Proven track record with Team Collaboration in a software development team
• Basic skills in creating Technical Writing Documentation

Compensation and Benefits

Workday Pay Transparency Statement: The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more detail during the hiring process. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. • Primary Location Base Pay Range: $156,000 USD - $234,000 USD

Additional US Location(s)

• Base Pay Range: $148,200 USD - $264,000 USD
