Role Purpose;BMCHelix Discovery

WO Rate : 180k max including margin

Location : Pune , Hyderabad , Chennai , Bangalore , Coimbatore

We are seeking a talented and experienced BMC Helix CMDB and Discovery Specialist . In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the customer BMC Helix Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and Discovery solutions. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our CMDB data, as well as optimizing the performance and functionality of our BMC Helix Discovery tools.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Configure and maintain BMC Helix CMDB and Discovery solutions to meet business requirements and ITIL best practices.

2. Experience in create dynamic application modeling in Helix Discovery.

3. Experience in configuring discovery for cloud and on premised based infra.

4. Define and implement CMDB governance policies, processes, and procedures to ensure data integrity and consistency.

5. Monitor and troubleshoot BMC Helix Discovery processes to identify and resolve issues related to data collection, normalization, and reconciliation.

6. Perform regular audits and reconciliations of CMDB data to identify and remediate discrepancies and inconsistencies.

7. Experience of BMC Helix ITSM applications and Helix customizations.

8. Extend the BMC Class and Data Model.

9. Experience in creating various CMDB jobs like identification, Normalization. Reconciliation .

10. Experience in creating data load sheets to update data into CMDB by using the OOTB data load console and using Atrium spoon jobs.

11. Create interface to exchange data with other systems using files or REST API.

12. Analyze, and solve issues in the normalization and reconciliation processes

13. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to map and integrate data sources into the CMDB.

Customize the Contract Management and SAM modules:

1. Prepare complex reports based on Helix Dashboards to provide stakeholders with insights into CMDB health, compliance, and utilization metrics

2. Support the run team to solve problems in the Helix system

3. Design and implement discovery probes, patterns, and sensors to discover and populate CMDB with accurate and up-to-date information about IT assets and infrastructure components.

4. Strong understanding of ITIL framework and CMDB best practices.

1. Provide tool design, development and deployment support for the project delivery

a. Interact with the internal project or client to understand the project requirement from a tool perspective

b. Design the solution keeping in mind the tool requirements, current tools available as well as details on licenses required etc.

c. Provide budget and timeline estimates for the tool development/ deployment as required

d. For any new tool development, identify sources for development (internal or 3rd party) and work with the project managers on the development of the tool keeping in mind the production rollout timelines

e. Conduct commercial discussions with the 3rd party vendors for licenses or tool development

f. Conduct appropriate testing to ensure error free deployment of the tool on the project

g. Ensure deployment of tool on time and within the estimated budget
