Job Description
Role: Business Analyst
The Business Analyst / Product Owner will work with the team to ensure that business requirements are successfully and efficiently transitioned into working software.
Responsibilities:
-
Elicits and challenges business requirements through an inquisitive mindset
-
Creates user stories for to capture functional requirements for projects ranging from small functional enhancements to large multi-year transformations
-
Demonstrates strong business and technical knowledge in Payments processing
-
Collaborates with business and technology partners to provide a seamless experience to users when interacting with payments systems
-
Drives business architectural solutions focused on flexibility, time to market and re-usability
-
Supports testing of new or enhanced applications and/or systems, and provide guidance to team members on complex testing tasks including use case development, requirement traceability analysis, test preparation, script writing, and functional test execution
-
Collaborates with business and technology teams to develop strategic technology roadmap
Qualifications
Experience in gathering the requirements and breaking them down and writing Initiatives, Epics, Stories and participating in solution design with stake holders

Knowledge of Financial Services Industry

Knowledge of Payments is a plus
-
Knowledge of SDLC, project management tools and other methodologies like Agile
-
Experience with Jira, SQL

Wipro joining in hand vs Cognizant LOI – what should I choose?
Got joining from Wipro as a Project Engineer (COE ELITE – Oracle Apps Technical) with 3.5 LPA and a 1-year bond. I also have an LOI from Cognizant (GenC PAT – 4 LPA) received on Feb 9 but there’s been no update on onboarding yet. As a 2025 graduate I’m mainly concerned about long-term growth and role quality Not sure if I should join Wipro now (since it’s Oracle Apps and might be more support-oriented) or wait for Cognizant hoping for better exposure.
