Job Title: Team Leader – Financial Shared Services (FSS)

Location: Indore Department: Finance / Shared Services Reporting To: Assistant

Manager / Manager – FSS

Role Overview:

The Team Leader – Financial Shared Services will be responsible for managing a team of finance professionals to ensure timely, accurate, and efficient execution of financial processes. This role requires strong leadership, process knowledge, and a commitment to continuous improvement in a shared services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise a team handling core finance processes such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Reconciliations.
  • Ensure adherence to SLAs, KPIs, and compliance standards across all financial operations.
  • Monitor daily operations and resolve process-related issues to maintain service quality.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and approve transactions, reports, and reconciliations prepared by the team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business requirements and transitions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in finance operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
  • Strong understanding of finance processes and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and MS Office tools.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
    Preferred Attributes:
  • Experience in a shared services or BPO environment.
  • Exposure to global finance operations and multi-country processes.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards such as SOX or internal audit controls.
