Position Summary...
The Senior Operations Manager leads logistics and operations within a high‑volume Sam’s Club distribution or fulfillment environment. This role is responsible for driving performance across safety, service, quality, productivity, and cost, while developing leaders, managing financial results, and ensuring compliance with company and regulatory standards.
The Senior Operations Manager partners closely with associates, suppliers, and cross‑functional teams to execute business plans, resolve operational issues, and continuously improve logistics operations in support of Sam’s Club members.
What You’ll Do:
Lead execution of business plans to achieve facility goals for production, quality, safety, and service
Manage staffing, workload planning, and performance execution
Own financial performance, including budgets, expenses, asset utilization, and reporting
Ensure compliance with logistics, safety, and quality standards
Lead, coach, and develop associates and leaders; support hiring, training, and performance management
Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencies
Resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns using fact‑based decision making
Support community engagement and company‑sponsored initiatives
What you'll do...

Live Better U is a company paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. The annual salary range for this position is $127,600.00 - $191,400.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location).

Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 2 years experience in a senior management role within an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide OR 2 years experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates OR 4 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics /retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain, Transportation and Logistics Management through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Both Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management); and 3 years experience in a senior management role in an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees facility-wide, Developing and managing budgets, contracts, managing P&L, developing manpower forecasts, monitoring regulatory compliance, and analyzing financial/operational data., Experience as a Walmart Logistics Operations Manager including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of associates, Senior-level experience managing multiple functional areas (e.g., receiving, shipping, QA, order filling) within a warehouse or Logistics network
