Mid-Market Account Manager (ANZ)

Why this role matters
This role sits at the heart of our ANZ growth strategy. As an Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for driving revenue across both direct customers and strategic partners.
You’ll work with startups, ISVs and mid-market organisations, helping them improve customer engagement through Voice, messaging and emerging communication channels.
This is a hybrid hunter role - you’ll be expected to win new business, grow existing accounts, and build a strong partner ecosystem.

What you’ll be doing
- Develop and execute a clear territory and account plan across ANZ
- Drive new business acquisition while growing existing accounts
- Lead use-case led, solution-based sales conversations across different business units
- Sell API-driven communication solutions (Voice, SMS, social and emerging channels)
- Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and C-level executives (e.g. CIO, CTO, CMO, Head of CX)
- Qualify and progress opportunities using structured frameworks such as MEDDIPICC
- Work closely with pre-sales, product and delivery teams to shape solutions that meet customer needs
- Identify, recruit and grow strategic partners (e.g. SIs, resellers, ISVs)
- Support partner onboarding and drive joint go-to-market initiatives
- Navigate internal teams (pricing, legal, product, operations) to move deals forward efficiently
- Maintain a strong pipeline and provide accurate forecasting
What you’ll bring
- Solid experience selling API-led, SaaS, CPaaS or cloud-based solutions
- Strong understanding of communication channels, including:
- Voice (highly preferred)
- SMS / messaging
- Social / OTT channels
- Proven ability to run consultative, use-case driven sales cycles
- Experience engaging with multiple stakeholders across business and technology teams
- Confidence working with and influencing senior decision-makers
- A genuine hunter mindset, with the ability to open doors and close deals
- Experience working with startups, ISVs or digital-native businesses
- Exposure to partner/channel sales and ecosystem development
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage complex deals
What you’ll need
- Based in Australia with full working rights
- Background in technology sales (SaaS, CPaaS, Cloud)
- Understanding of APIs and how they fit into customer experience solutions
- Experience working alongside pre-sales/ technical teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
