Are you a senior Facilities and Property Management leader ready to take ownership of a high-profile, complex portfolio?
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an experienced Account Director to lead a major NSW Government transport portfolio, overseeing a large-scale, multi-site operation and driving performance, compliance, and strategic outcomes.

This is a critical role focused on strengthening service delivery, leading a high-performing FM & PM team, and positioning the account for long-term success.

Job Description:

You will take ownership of a large, complex portfolio (~400 sites across NSW), managing a team of Facilities Managers and Property Management support functions.

With a strong focus on Facilities Management delivery, you will ensure operational excellence, drive continuous improvement, and enhance client outcomes within a safety-critical and highly regulated environment.

This is a high-impact role on a key strategic account, offering the opportunity to shape performance, influence outcomes, and drive long-term value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of Facilities Managers, Property Manager and offshore support ensuring high performance and accountability

  • Oversee end-to-end Facilities Management service delivery across a large NSW portfolio

  • Act as the senior client interface, managing key stakeholder relationships

  • Drive contract governance, compliance, and performance reporting

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives and value-add opportunities

  • Manage financial performance including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight

  • Ensure all regulatory, safety, and contractual obligations are met

  • Support strategic initiatives to strengthen account performance and outcomes

About You

  • Extensive experience in Facilities Management leadership roles (essential)

  • Proven ability managing large, complex, multi-site portfolios

  • Strong people leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams

  • Highly commercial with experience managing budgets and P&L

  • Confident engaging with senior stakeholders and government clients

  • Proactive, solutions-focused and driven to improve performance and outcomes

  • Experience in government or highly regulated environments (desirable)
