The Finance Planning & Analytics (FP&A) team is a strategic partner to Visa’s Greater China business, supporting both Hong Kong and Macau geographies. The team drives financial discipline, decision support, and accountability, enabling Visa to deliver on its mission of connecting the world through secure, innovative payment solutions. By providing actionable insights, robust planning, and financial leadership, the FP&A team adds value to Visa by empowering business leaders to achieve both short-term financial targets and long-term growth objectives.
What a Director, Financial Planning & Analysis does at Visa:
- Acts as the focal point for FP&A-related matters in Hong Kong and Macau, serving as a key advisor and thought partner to general manager and HK leadership team.
- Leads business planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes for revenues, client incentives, and operating expenses, coordinating inputs from various functions and driving review and challenge processes.
- Provides financial analysis and advice for new business propositions, including client incentive deals, marketing campaigns, product and acceptance initiatives, and other strategic projects.
- Maintains an in-depth understanding of pricing dynamics, including competitive pricing and positioning, and provides leadership for pricing proposals.
- Tracks the financial performance to ensure planning, forecasting and reporting accuracy.
- Regularly updates management on financial performance, offering insights into key variances, business trends, risks, and opportunities, and recommending mitigating actions.
This role reports to both Greater China Finance Head and Hong Kong General Manager.

Projects you will be a part of:
As Director, FP&A, you will lead and support projects that shape Visa’s future in Greater China, including:
- Strategic planning and financial modeling for new market initiatives.
- Evaluation and implementation of client incentive deals and partnership.
- Development and execution of pricing strategies to enhance Visa’s competitive position.
- Financial leadership for marketing campaigns, product launches, and acceptance initiatives.
- Continuous improvement of planning, forecasting, and reporting processes. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on Visa’s growth, innovation, and financial performance, while working with a diverse, high-performing team in a dynamic, global environment.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or equivalent business degree.
- 12+ years of FP&A experience with a recognized, performance-driven multinational company.
- Proven experience communicating with, influencing, and presenting to senior-level executives.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on multiple initiatives with tight timelines.
- Working knowledge of financial controls and procedures, preferably with major ERP packages.
- Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
- Commitment to Visa Leadership Principles, including driving results, collaborating across teams, and acting with integrity.
What will also help:
- Advanced business degree (preferred).
- Knowledge of the payments industry, especially credit/debit card business within banking or e Commerce is highly desirable.
- International experience, ideally within a complex, matrix management organization.
- Prior experience in communicating with, influencing and presenting to senior-level executives
