A day in the life of a Manager, Customer Facing Supply Chain at VF looks a little like this. As the Manager, Customer Facing Supply Chain, you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining strategic supply chain partnerships with key customers and our brands. Your role will involve assessing customer and internal operational needs, identifying opportunities for operational improvements, and ensuring alignment with KPIs. You will enhance several functional areas, including planning, distribution, logistics, and orderbook management, while safeguarding service model adherence and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Strategic Account Focus:

  • Forge strong Supply Chain partnerships with strategic customers to continuously assess their needs.

  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement and efficiency.

  • Explore potential new business models and capabilities.

Process Governance:

  • Ensure adherence to service models in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

  • Validate customer operational terms in the supply chain domain for any contractual agreements.

KAM Performance Tracking:

  • Align VF performance measurements with customers' KPIs.

  • Measure our performance as our accounts measure us.

  • Create a KA 360 view to increase visibility on key critical indicators.

Project Management:

  • Lead projects to streamline operations, create efficiencies, deliver cost savings and ensure compliance across our supply chain.

  • Work across our brands and internal teams on ad-hoc customer facing initiatives.

Key Activities & Value Creation:

  • Establish regular communication with key customers and internal partners to explore requirements, identify operational enhancement opportunities, and consider potential new business models (e.g., direct shipment).

  • Collaborate with key functions to ensure customer and functional operational needs are analyzed and prioritized accordingly.

  • Represent the needs of the customer within the VF process to elevate operational excellence.

  • Work with internal functions to define and ensure service execution in line with customer needs.

  • Ensure alignment between VF performance measurement and customers' KPIs – we must measure ourselves as the customer measures us.

  • Validate customer supply chain requirements for feasibility and adherence to service model guidelines, especially when deviations occur from standard conditions.

  • Perform root cause analysis on key operating processes from order collection to invoicing and returns to maximize efficiency and support achieving SLAs.

  • Drive cost-to-serve optimization initiatives, detecting inefficiencies and addressing improvements.

What do you need to succeed?

We all have unique skills that we bring to work and celebrate every day. For this role, there are foundation skills you’ll need to succeed and excel. Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5+ years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or university (preferred concentration in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management)

  • Equivalent years of experience in a substantially similar industry may be considered in lieu of a degree, as determined by the nature of the specific job and the hiring manager’s criteria

  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in E2E supply chain management

Location requirement: hybrid, 3 days in office in our Denver, HQ.

Hiring Range:

$92,448.00 USD - $115,560.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
