The site of Tuam based in Ireland belongs to BRAIN Division. The site has 891 employees. We are looking for a VIE Project Buyer for 12 months.

Your challenges?

• You will contribute to the optimization of materials and services purchased by Valeo through proper application of contracts for quality and delivery commitments at market-compliant costs.

• You will learn and deploy Valeo's state-of-the-art tools for sourcing (So Co), component qualification and life cycle management (SRM).

• You'll also develop project management skills as part of day-to-day project activity.

• You will identify the key suppliers on our panel who best meet the needs of our project.

• In collaboration with engineering, you will carry out design reviews with suppliers in order to specify the appropriate components and services.

• You will document all quality, delivery and technical specifications in standard templates (VRF) with all stakeholders involved in the project.

• You will issue invitations to tender and negotiate, using all available tools, the most advantageous commercial conditions on the market.

• You will define and control the project delivery schedule, managing exceptions in good time.

• Together with the supplier's quality team, you will manage the approval and production release of each component.

• You will report on project progress and performance on a monthly basis.

Let’s talk about you…

• You have graduated from a master degree in Purchasing, Project Management, Supply Chain, International Business or Engineering.

• You already have experience in Purchasing, Project Management (ideally in the automotive field)

• You have a fluent level of English.

• You have good communication skills, have an international mindset and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking, strong organizational and multitasking.

• You are humble, listening, positive attitude oriented, professional, and have the sense of diplomacy, negotiation and commercial awareness.

• Working knowledge of Excel.
