Our Organization:

As the Integration Engineer (APIM / Auth / Routing), you will own the strangler control plane through Azure API Management, defining and governing API contracts, routing rules, policies, and identity bridging required for seamless coexistence of legacy and modernized Store Web services. Although this is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, you will serve as the integration authority guiding modernization flow, API governance, and rollout safety across teams.

What you will do

• Design APIM architecture, policies (versioning, transforms, throttling), and governance.

• Implement feature‑flagged routing and staged rollout rules integrated with deployment pipelines.

• Build contract‑testing patterns and enforce backward compatibility across modernization boundaries.

• Partner with security teams on OAuth2/JWT validation, token propagation, and identity/session bridging.

• Troubleshoot complex cross‑system integration issues and performance bottlenecks.

• Ensure consistent API standards, documentation, and governance models across new and legacy surfaces.

Minimum Qualifications

• 6+ years integration and API‑gateway engineering experience with strong APIM expertise.

• Strong grounding in security fundamentals and experience bridging legacy identity with modern auth.

• Experience designing routing, transformation, and policy patterns for enterprise systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure Front Door, Application Gateway, or enterprise‑scale routing strategies.

• Background with distributed tracing and debugging cross‑platform performance issues.
