Team Overview

We aim to bring discovery, inspiration, and joy back to shopping by making Tik Tok the commerce channel of choice for merchants, creators, and partners. Tik Tok Shop is looking for a collaborative and strategic thinker to drive category growth through cross-functional partnerships, strategy design, and project management.

• Lead and execute strategic projects to develop and optimize category strategies for Tik Tok Shop category teams, driving long-term GMV growth, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Partner closely with cross-functional (XFN) teams to define goals, pilot initiatives, and identify key areas for continuous improvement.
• Conduct data-driven analysis, competitor benchmarking, and hypothesis testing to solve business challenges and identify new growth opportunities.
• Work with product & tech teams to design scalable, tech-driven solutions that lower entry barriers for merchants and enhance overall platform competitiveness.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Experience in e-commerce strategy & operations, category management, management consulting, or business strategy, with a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives.
• Hands-on experience in project management and cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to execute solutions that drive measurable business impact.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with a structured and problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Startup experience, especially in marketplace, e-commerce, or consumer goods sectors.
• A background in mathematics, statistics, business analytics, or related fields is preferred.

Compensation

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $88,920 - $144,400 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
