Responsibilities

Our Language Management Center (LMC) offers a wide range of translation and localization services to all functional teams within the company, including Global Business Solutions and Global Monetization Product and Technology.

The team's working scope includes written content featured on the Tik Tok for Business official website, external communication materials, sponsorship plans, marketing solutions, training decks, and articles posted on our Knowledge Center.

We are looking for a Localization Project Manager with a proven track record of successfully coordinating complex multilingual projects, driving seamless collaboration across diverse teams, and ensuring the highest standards of localization quality and cultural accuracy.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage a full cycle of localization projects from initiating, executing, to closing.
2. Communicate proactively with stakeholders across different time zones to ensure effective cross-team collaboration.
3. Coordinate with internal requestors and external resources to ensure on-schedule, high-quality delivery.

1. Analyze source files to identify potential risks and establish preventive action initiatives.5. Keep project & finance data up to date to ensure budgetary adherence to project-based quotes.6. Organize training sessions for LSPs to review feedback and troubleshoot all project-related issues.7. Propose suggestions to the team for process improvement, tools, and system optimization.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

1. BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
2. 3+ years of localization project management experience.
3. Exceptional verbal and writing communication skills in both English and Chinese. Proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English is required to collaborate effectively with global partners and stakeholders, especially for Chinese-speaking markets, where Mandarin is a primary working language.
4. Proven ability in strategic project planning, scoping, and execution.
5. Advanced proficiency with computer-aided translation platforms or tools such as SDL Studio, XTM Cloud, or World Server.
6. Detail-oriented, quality-focused, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
7. Resourceful and creative problem-solving capabilities for complex issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Practical experience with various Content Management Systems and their integrations.
2. Solid technical knowledge for handling diverse and complex file formats.
3. In-depth understanding of Translation Memory and Term Base management.
4. Excellent time management and prioritization skills for a fast-paced environment.
5. Cross-functional collaboration experience in working with stakeholders from the Product, Marketing, and Technical teams.
