About the Team

We are looking to hire a Human Resources Business Partner to join our growing Global Business Solutions (GBS) human resources team. The GBS is responsible for the revenue growth of the Tik Tok business, and our teams include Sales, Marketing, Ops, Agencies, Partnerships, and Marketing Science.

Tik Tok's SMB team aims to help businesses, agencies and brands of all sizes unleash their creative side, connect with our audience, and drive revenue and growth. To help companies achieve their marketing goals on Tik Tok, no matter how big or small, our SMB team combines operational expertise with a customer-centric strategic mindset. You will be doing so by designing and executing scaled sales & service delivery strategies and ensuring that our customers have the right tools and products at their fingertips.

This role requires 5 days in the office each week. The SMB Product organization emphasizes the importance of in-person collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, which is why we follow an in-office schedule. Please note that our in-office and hybrid work models are regularly reviewed, and specific requirements may be subject to change.

Your Role

Specifically, you will:

  • Translate business agendas and objectives into a strategic HR roadmap, with supporting initiatives and action plans while garnering support/ownership for that roadmap within the organization.
  • Coach business leaders on people-related matters including talent assessment, development and succession, organization effectiveness, and high-performing team characteristics.
  • Design, monitor, and measure HR Metrics/KPIs dashboards to facilitate change and drive key insights and decisions that support growth and retention.
  • Play a role in the design and execution of business restructures, and critical workforce planning initiatives and identify critical succession planning needs.
  • Enhance employee development & management throughout the year by providing coaching, mentoring, and timely feedback; design fit-for-purpose goal-setting agendas including 360 performance evaluations, and oversee the formal performance review and calibration process.
  • Champion HR initiatives to support Diversity & Inclusion throughout the organization including rolling out action plans and guiding leaders regarding mentorship, development, and promotion of diverse employees.
  • Facilitate communication, collaboration, and engagement across all areas of the business.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, as an HR Generalist or Human Capital Consultant.
  • 2+ years as an HR Business Partner.
  • Corporate experience in employee relations, performance management, leadership development, and general HR program/operations.
  • Proficiency in MS/G-Suite, HRIS, Workday, and other tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience supporting SMB and/or Product Development teams regionally and globally.
  • Successful track record of designing and implementing people programs from the ground up.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, ability, and willingness to be hands-on (operational) and strategic.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools (i.e. Tableau, Excel, Power BI) to extract insights and drive strategic decision-making.
  • Proven ability to autonomously manage multiple projects concurrently, with strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Fluency or proficiency in Mandarin for communication with external stakeholders.
