Location: Taiwan

Reuters is seeking a Senior Video Journalist to help lead its coverage in Taiwan as part of the Reuters News Accelerator Program. This is a senior role for a journalist with strong editorial judgement, visual instincts and the ambition to shape how stories are told on screen.

About the Role

As Senior Video Journalist, you will:

  • Lead video coverage in Taiwan, including editorial planning and logistics
  • Cover breaking news and enterprise stories with speed, accuracy and fairness
  • Pitch and develop original video stories for broadcast and digital audiences
  • Work closely with text and photo teams on integrated storytelling
  • Champion innovation, including the thoughtful use of AI tools
  • Uphold the Reuters Trust Principles in all coverage

About You

As Senior Video Journalist, you are likely to have:

  • At least five years’ experience in video journalism
  • Experience leading teams and mentoring colleagues
  • Strong news judgement and a clear visual sensibility
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Technical proficiency with professional cameras and editing software
