Job Description Analyst, Payroll Transformation Operational Readiness Description

The Payroll Transformation Operational Readiness Analyst supports the successful delivery of operational readiness activities within the Global Payroll Transformation organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operational Readiness, this role is responsible for executing core readiness deliverables including process mapping, transaction inventories, SOP documentation, change impact tracking, and readiness quality checks.

The Operational Readiness Analyst plays a hands-on role in ensuring Payroll Operations, Colleague Services, and related stakeholders are operationally prepared to adopt new systems, processes, and ways of working resulting from the Payroll & Time transformation. This role works closely with Payroll Operations, HRTS, HR Service Enablement, the Change & Communications workstream, and Transformation project teams to ensure documentation accuracy, process alignment, and structured readiness tracking.

Key Objectives

  • Ensure that payroll operations teams are fully prepared to operate effectively in the new environment.
  • Develop and maintain high quality current- and future-state process maps, transaction inventories, and SOP documentation
  • Track and manage readiness activities, risks, issues, and dependencies in alignment with the integrated project plan
  • Ensure process documentation reflects blueprint decisions, testing outcomes, configuration changes and approved scope

Primary Responsibilities

Process Mapping & Documentation

  • Develop and maintain as-is and future-state process maps in partnership with Payroll Operations, Colleague Services, and HR Service Enablement
  • Build and maintain transaction inventories and documentation trackers to ensure full process coverage
  • Support the drafting, formatting, and updating of End-to-End SOP’s and process documentation
  • Ensure that documentation reflects system configuration decisions, blueprint outcomes, testing findings, and approved change impacts
  • Perform documentation quality checks prior to Senior manager and Operations leadership review and approval
  • Maintain version control and structured storage of readiness artifacts

Readiness Tracking & Governance Support

  • Maintain readiness trackers, including documentation logs, change impact logs, and completion tracking
  • Support maintenance of RAID and Change logs
  • Monitor readiness action items and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Provide structured reporting updates to the Senior Manager on readiness status and documentation progress

Change Comms & Training

  • Partner with HR Service Enablement to complete updates to knowledge articles
  • Create and deliver training materials to operations to support go-live readiness
  • Track Payroll System and internal training completion

Hypercare

  • Preparation and alignment of hypercare documentation and schedules
  • Track hypercare issues, themes and documentation updates during stabilization
  • Support exit criteria validation and documentation alignment during hypercare close

Governance

  • Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of documentation and readiness tracking artifacts
  • Responsible for maintaining structured and auditable readiness trackers
  • Escalate risks, blockers, or documentation gaps to the Senior Manager in a timely manner

Experience & Competencies Required

  • Experience in payroll operations, HR operations, or transformation/project environments
  • Exposure to payroll systems (ADP Global View experience preferred)
  • Strong process mapping and documentation skills (e.g., Visio)
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deliverables in a structured, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong written communication skills with ability to translate complex process information into clear documentation
  • Analytical mindset with ability to identify process gaps and inconsistencies
