How You Will Make an Impact:

As the Procurement Category Manager for Pumps for Fluid and Gas (Electrical and Mechanical OEM), you will shape and execute global sourcing strategies that ensure supply continuity, strengthen supplier partnerships, and drive value across diverse product categories.

Your work will directly support innovation, operational excellence, sustainability, and cost optimization while partnering closely with cross-functional teams. This is a role for a collaborative, forward-thinking professional excited to define and influence strategy and deliver measurable outcomes.

What You Will Do:

Develop and execute the global category strategy for Pumps for Fluid and Gas, aligned with the Mechanical OEM strategy and divisional and enterprise priorities.

Build, lead, and maintain strategic supplier partnerships that enable innovation, supply assurance, and competitive advantage.

Lead complex global sourcing initiatives, including RFPs, contract negotiations, cost modeling, and supplier selection.

Analyze market intelligence, industry trends, and risk indicators to proactively manage opportunities and vulnerabilities in the supply base.

Collaborate with R&D, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Product Management to align sourcing actions with technical roadmaps and operational needs.

Drive continuous improvement in supplier performance through KPI development, business reviews, and corrective action plans.

Advance sustainability, diversity, and responsible sourcing initiatives within the supplier ecosystem.

Leverage digital tools, data analytics, and automation to improve procurement processes and decision quality.

Serve as a trusted business partner to internal stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations to support long-term strategic planning.

How You Will Get Here:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Experience:

7 years of strategic procurement or category management experience, ideally in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial equipment.

Demonstrated success in leading complex categories and negotiating global agreements.

Experience working in a matrixed, international environment and collaborating across functions.

Skills and Expertise:

Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.

Proven success leading strategic sourcing initiatives that deliver measurable cost savings, risk reduction, and innovation.

Skilled negotiator with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.

Knowledge of Pumps for Fluid and Gas markets is a strong advantage.

Familiarity with category management frameworks, supply market analysis, and cost modeling.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities.
