How will you make an impact?

You will have full accountability for attracting and hiring best-in-class talent for specific business groups/functions across Australia & New Zealand (ANZ), while always aiming to provide an outstanding candidate and hiring team experience. You will serve as the functional advisory for Talent Acquisition, accountable for driving the talent acquisition strategy for Thermo Fisher Scientific in ANZ.

You will serve as the subject matter expert on best-practices in the Talent Acquisition world – from sourcing strategies to onboarding the best talent and everything in between. And, probably most fun, you’ll be an ambassador of our workplace culture, serving as a connector between teams, departments and people.

Key Accountabilities

  • Be a trusted talent advisor and strong business partner who influences by using valuable insights and data to support current and future workforce needs.

  • Implement full life cycle searches to include understanding the role, developing the search strategy, sourcing, pre-screening, assessing and interviewing candidates to develop and present recommendations on qualified candidates to the hiring team.

  • Build strong talent pipelines by developing programs for proactive sourcing of best-in-class applicants and applying Employer Branding across a mix of social media and recruitment channels.

  • Lead data integrity for assigned portfolio using Power BI and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and be responsible for database management and talent acquisition metrics.

  • Develop and implement creative ideas for improving the talent acquisition process and deliver outcomes focused on continuous improvement.

  • Stay current with regards to organizational changes (acquisitions, reorganizations, new product offerings) as well as industry and technology trends that may impact hiring strategies and future needs.

How will you get here?

Qualification and Experience

  • Degree in any discipline with a mix of in-house and agency recruiting experience

  • Experience of hiring for the Australia & New Zealand markets specifically in the Life Sciences and/or CRO space is essential

  • Solid track record in end-to-end recruitment process management and expertise in proactive full life cycle searches

  • Proficiency in CRM (Phenom People), Applicant Tracking Systems (Workday), as well as Microsoft office system products is preferred ​

  • Prior experience of working cross-functionally to support a large and complex multinational organization is a plus

  • Experience in capturing metrics, dashboarding and delivering compelling recruitment insights to the business using data and analytics
