Our Finland locations include Vantaa and Joensuu, employing over 800 professionals in R&D, production, supply chain, quality, marketing, sales, and administrative support. We hire experts in different fields including engineering, chemistry, microbiology, and bioinformatics. Our Vantaa site develops laboratory automation solutions, clinical chemistry and industrial chemistry analyzers and assays, food safety kits, pipettes and other diagnostics and research solutions. How you will make an impact?

At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll be part of a collaborative team supporting supply chain operations for our scientific products and services. As a Supply Chain Development Specialist, you'll manage procurement, planning, and logistics activities to ensure timely delivery of products that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. This role combines analytical thinking with practical implementation to optimize inventory levels, coordinate with stakeholders, and support continuous improvement in our supply chain processes. You'll work with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, finance, and commercial operations to deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining efficient operations.

Requirements:

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Supply Chain Development Specialist to join our team. The SC Specialist is responsible for developing order to delivery processes in the Vantaa supply chain team. In this role, you will combine operational expertise with system ownership, acting as a SAP Super User for Order-to-Cash processes while driving continuous improvement across warehouse, logistics, and customer service processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support process development and optimization across warehouse, logistics, and customer service functions.
  • Act as the SAP Super User for supply chain-related modules (e.g., MM, SD, WM/EWM), supporting daily operations and troubleshooting system issues.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, IT, and customer service teams to ensure efficient and standardized workflows.
  • Identify process gaps and implement improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide training and guidance to end users on SAP functionality and best practices.
  • Participate in system upgrades, testing, and implementation of new tools or features.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive data-driven decision-making within the supply chain.
  • Maintain warehouse assets and ensure they are continually calibrated.
  • Support documentation of processes, work instructions, and system usage guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Couple of years of experience in supply chain operations, including warehouse and logistics processes.
  • Familiarity with customer service/order-to-cash processes.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP.
  • Experience in process development, continuous improvement, or Lean methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into system solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Fluency in Finnish and in English.
